Food Against Hunger provides life-saving, life-sustaining and life-enriching humanitarian support to under-served populations around the 10 states of the Republic of South Sudan regardless of faith or nationality.
Food security and Livelihood(FSL)
Our programs contribute to improving the social, economic and physical resources available to and controlled by a community. This makes our programs very efficient and creates lasting change rather than a short-term fix.
The goal is to achieve long-lasting improvements in people’s lives and the community, not quick fixes that depend on outside assistance.
Protection (GBV and Child Protection)
Both GBV and Child Protection minimum standards reiterate the need for intersectoral cooperation. Increasingly complex emergencies require the collaboration between different disciplines to understand and address new and growing needs affecting girls and boys.
Nutrition Programs
For children to develop healthily, they must have access to adequate health care and nutrition. Families with sick members may be unable to work or provide adequate care. Children in these circumstances run the danger of quitting school to take care of a sick adult and labor to make up for lost wages. The child faces a lot of adverse consequences, such as living on the streets or being placed in institutional care, if the caregiver passes away from the illness.
