Food Against Hunger (FAH)

Food Against Hunger (FAH) is a Non-Profit, National Non-Governmental Organization and a group of agricultural industries established in 2022 to fight food insecurity and improving livelihood in the Ten States of the republic of South Sudan. The organization was established based on the research conducted by group of experts to identify the need of the population affected or not affected during the long-time war. Finding was that farming is one of their subsistence for their sustainable life.
South Sudan land is vast and productive but has been abandoned due to numerous wars as between 1956 to 2011 forcing the citizen to seek refuge to the neighboring countries of East Africa. South Sudan has resorted to import food produce from Uganda since it attained independent from Sudan in 2011.

Our Vision

Food Against Hunger (FAH) organization will have the highest strength that will recognize the agriculture sector far and beyond the recognition in the Republic of South Sudan.

The mandate of FAH is to eradicate poverty and restore the agriculture sector economy by increasing the production through Agricultural activities in order to reduce the food insecurity and livelihood in the Republic of South Sudan.

Food Against Hunger Programs

While the fight against hunger had previously been integrated into more general humanitarian action (the fight against poverty, promoting better health, etc.), FAH’s founder members created an organization specializing in the problems associated with hunger.

The goal of Food Against Hunger is to make vulnerable communities more resilient to shocks while reducing the need for ongoing humanitarian aid.
